Map the Investment
Clarify what has been introduced so far: tools, pilots, training, policies, expectations and informal use.
You get: a factual picture of the gap between what you invested in and what people actually use.
Through AI Value Compass, I help leaders of SMBs and other types of organisations find out why adoption has stalled and build the trust that makes daily use possible.
Free, and you are under no obligation.
That gap comes from vital questions few have answered out loud.
Fear for one’s role, rarely raised in a meeting.
Unease that AI is in American and Chinese hands, and about the energy it consumes.
A belief that leaning on AI makes people less capable.
Mixed signals from leadership, and no clear line on what is safe.
Source: Statistics Norway, SSB, 2026. Small businesses have 10 to 19 employees; large businesses have 100 or more.
So AI use does not stop. It goes quiet. People turn to their own tools on their own terms, while the tools you paid for sit partly unused. That is shadow AI, and company data can end up in tools nobody has approved.
Employees are using AI, but management is falling behind. Leadership needs to own this!
Most companies buy the tool, announce it, train people and hope adoption happens. This path starts where adoption actually breaks down.
Each stage ends with something concrete, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
Clarify what has been introduced so far: tools, pilots, training, policies, expectations and informal use.
You get: a factual picture of the gap between what you invested in and what people actually use.
Interviews with you, your leaders and selected team members, supported by questionnaires where useful, look at four areas: human readiness, leadership alignment, culture and responsible adoption.
You get: a prioritised diagnosis of the real barriers, so money goes to the right fix.
The findings become a working conversation with your leadership: what to clarify, what to model and where people need to feel safer. Management owns the change. I help you lead it.
You get: one clear message about AI that your teams can rely on.
Leadership sessions, team workshops, open sessions on fear and responsible use, and small practical experiments.
You get: teams that test and use AI in ways that feel safe.
Check-ins, reflection sessions and simple routines that keep AI use alive after the first workshop.
You get: AI as part of your normal way of working.
Every step answers one question: is your AI investment becoming something your people actually trust and use?
Find out if this is your real problem. A short conversation about whether your stalled or uncertain adoption is really about the tools, or about fear, trust and leadership. You leave knowing whether a deeper diagnostic is worth doing.
Stop guessing why it isn’t working. A clear, prioritised picture of what is blocking adoption and what to address first, before you spend more on tools or training.
Turn the diagnosis into real change. A focused three- or six-month engagement with your leadership and teams, building the confidence and clarity that move AI from a tool people avoid to one they use.
Make sure it sticks. Optional monthly sparring for you or your leadership team, with staff sessions and check-ins that catch new resistance early.
I work on every engagement personally, on site or online.
Book a Free Exploration CallAt the Research Council of Norway, I worked with research communities that were often critical of new technology and wanted to move it in a more responsible direction. That scepticism is part of my own background, so I don’t dismiss it in others.
In 2023, a major restructuring moved me into a completely new job in the Research Council’s compliance team. Transformation is something I have lived, at work and in my own life, not only studied.
When I reached the age limit for public officers in 2025, I wanted to continue contributing to society and to challenge myself. In 2026 I founded AI Value Compass to apply decades of work in organisational behaviour and applied ethics to a new and urgent problem. I stay close to the frontier of AI development, so my judgement is based on what the technology can do today.
I don’t do this out of commercial necessity. I do it because I want to keep engaging with the grand challenges of our time, and because I genuinely want to act in my clients’ best interest.
In September 2026, at an event with the world-renowned life and business coach Tony Robbins in Cologne, I did his signature firewalk, walking barefoot over hot coals. It was a direct, physical lesson in moving through fear instead of around it. That is what I help leaders and teams do with AI.
I also write poetry and songs. So here is what AI Value Compass stands for, as a limerick:
This message is not at all fake:
With AI there are values at stake,
we seek the direction
through action, reflection,
and look what results we can make!

If your problem is technical, I can bring in the Helsinki-based company IKON AI as a partner, ikonai.com. The technical partner develops, implements and teaches the tools, and I bring the partner in when tool training is needed. My work is the part that decides whether people use the tools at all: trust, leadership, culture and responsible practice.
A course teaches features. It does not tell people what leaders expect, where the limits are, or whether it is safe to try. That is why training so often fails to change daily behaviour, and the AI spend sits unused because the human side was never addressed.
Your people are not waiting. Informal use keeps growing whether or not you act, and the longer it runs without shared rules, the harder those habits are to change.
I live in Norway and spend part of my time in Turku, Finland, my second home country. I meet clients in person in Norway and Finland, and online anywhere else. I work in Norwegian, Swedish and English, and speak Finnish and German almost fluently.
A compass doesn’t walk the path for you. It shows you which way to go.
Either way, you leave knowing what to do next.
